WORSHIP @ KELTY KIRK

Sunday Worship

At 11am every Sunday morning we provide an active, busy and enthusiastic service of worship which lasts for around an hour or so, followed by mugs of coffee, tea and a chat. This service, attended by approximately 150 people each week, is the more mainstream type of service you might expect to find in a lively, forward-looking church.

We sing from various praise books, including The Source, using our Christian Copyright licence for songs that are not in any of our songbooks. A member of the congregation will read the lessons from the bible, our children enjoy a brief message from the minister or sometimes a church member; and the adult congregation have the opportunity to listen to the minister's sermon, which is complemented by images projected onto the wall.

We are not greatly interested in formality. Rather, reality (being real with each other) is our main concern. The congregation are encouraged to talk and mix with each other before worship begins, and the children are free to be what they are: children. All in all, we are a family church simply trying to follow a most incredible man who lived 2000 years ago, and who still influences the world today.

Any visitors are always made very welcome in our truly warm and friendly church.

We run a bus for members who find it difficult to get to the church on a Sunday, and we also provide an audio tape of one service per month for those in our community who can no longer get out and about. Please telephone (01383) 831219 or email the church office if either of these services could benefit you or someone you know.

An induction loop system is installed for the hard of hearing.

A crèche is available each week with the church sound system relaying the service into the crèche room so that parents need not feel too out of things.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Sundays @ 11am.
